Welcome back! I hope you all had a fun, restful, and relaxing break! During this second semester, we will really buckle down, both in academic work and our expectations of student responsibilities.

• This week we will be reviewing Unit 3 Skills and taking the Unit 3 Test
• Comprehension Skills: Cause and Effect, Drawing Conclusions, Character/Setting/Plot, Graphic Sources, Generalizations
• Grammar Skills: Action and Linking Verbs, Main and Helping Verbs, Subject/Verb Agreement, Verb Tenses, Irregular Verbs, 
• Phonics Skills: j/k/s sounds, silent consonants, prefixes and suffixes, contractions
• Vocabulary Skills: Dictionary/Glossary, affixes, homophones, context clues

ASSIGNMENTS

• We will be working on our unit test each days this week
