Announcements, Plans, and Assignments {Week of Sept. 28-Oct. 2}

  • Curriculum Night: October 22nd - There will be a music program followed by an opportunity for parents to break into grade level meetings to hear about the standards that will be addressed in the 2nd 9 weeks, and how parents can help their students at home.

  • SCHOLASTIC BOOKS - Your child will bring home a Scholastic Book brochure this week. I encourage you to check out the books and possibly offer to purchase one for your child as a reward, incentive, etc. These are great, quality books at a terrific price! To order, simply click below!

Announcements, Plans, and Assignments {Week of Sept. 21-25}

  • *Review and Unit 1 Test Week*: This week students will review all comprehension, grammar, phonics, and vocabulary skills during the first half of the week and will take the Unit 1 test the last half of the week. This is a big test comprised of 43 questions covering all the skills previously mentioned. Because it is such a large test, we will break the test into 2-3 days. Please ensure your child is well rested and well fed so that he/she can do their best! This is the third out of four major reading test grades for this 9 weeks.

  • Please remember that any homework given is something Mrs. Stewart and I feel is necessary. Please ensure your child is completing homework on time!
  • 3rd grade is a big year in terms of responsibility.   • DPES tardy policy will be enforced beginning MONDAY, AUGUST 24th . Therefore, any student not seated in his/her classroom when the 8:00 bell rings is considered tardy to school. A student arriving after 8:00 a.m. must report with his/her parent/guardian to the front office and sign in, giving the reason for being late. Students that are signing in late due to a doctor/dentist appointment must have an excuse from the doctor/dentist to be considered an excused tardy.

  • Please remember that any homework given is something Mrs. Stewart and I feel is necessary. Please ensure your child is completing homework on time!
