Announcements, Plans, and Assignments {Week of 2/1-2/5}

  • Reading For Education: Your child brought home postcards last week. Please address and return the booklets. Each returned booklet = $5.50 for our school!
  • ACT Aspire Dates: April 5-8 - PLEASE plan to have your child at school each day during this week.
  • Eagle Idol Talent Show: April 28th, Grades 1-3 @ 5:00pm, Grades 4-6 @ 7:00pm - Tickets are $3.00, sold at the door
  • Monday, February 8th: Cookie dough fundraiser begins
  • Tuesday, February 9th: Progress Reports sent home - please sign and return
  • Thursday, February 11th: 4th grade music programs & Parents as Partners meeting

    • Comprehension Skills: Cause and Effect, Drawing Conclusions, Character/Setting/Plot, Graphic Sources, Generalizations
    • Grammar Skills: Action and Linking Verbs, Main and Helping Verbs, Subject/Verb Agreement, Verb Tenses, Irregular Verbs, 
    • Phonics Skills: j/k/s sounds, silent consonants, prefixes and suffixes, contractions
    • Vocabulary Skills: Dictionary/Glossary, affixes, homophones, context clues
